Naruto is definitely one of the most popular anime series and a series that marked the first encounter with the anime world for many viewers. Masashi Kishimoto’s story of a curious and hard-working boy with a harsh childhood, his efforts to fulfill his dream of becoming a Hokage, and his belief in the power of friendship, impacted the childhoods of millions across the world.
We all followed Naruto and his coming-of-age story through the original and the Naruto Shippuden series, and, in between all the adventure and fighting, we did get to see quite a few romances blossom between our favorite characters from the shows.
Who does Naruto marry?
Depending on how far you’ve come with watching Naruto, the answer might or might not surprise you. You are probably familiar with the Team 7 love triangle: Naruto had feelings for Sakura, Sakura had feelings for Sasuke, and Sasuke had feelings for, well, himself and the idea of avenging his clan (basically). While poor Naruto was doing everything he could to get Sakura’s attention, somebody else also gave their best to get Naruto to notice her. That somebody being Hinata, of course.
The Naruto fanbase does have different opinions on the matter, we have team SakuNaru (Sakura + Naruto), NaruHina (Naruto + Hinata), and don’t forget about SasuNaru (Sasuke + Naruto)… amongst many others. But all the uncertainty was cleared for good after episode 494 of the Naruto: Shippuden series in which Naruto gets married to… drumroll, please… Hinata! Naruto ends up marrying Hinata Hyuga. Her years-long efforts paid off and we think they make such a cute couple. Both the bride and the groom looked stunning and their wedding made for such an emotional episode. The entire Boruto series is about their son, Boruto, and they also end up having a daughter, Boruto’s younger sister, Himawari.
Who does Sasuke marry?
Sasuke’s situation is a bit more foggy and unclear. As mentioned, Sakura’s feelings for Sasuke were obvious since the first episode of the original Naruto series, though Sasuke never really showed any reciprocation or romantic interest. That did change with time and the two of them get together at last. Sasuke ends up marrying Sakura Haruno. Truth is, Sasuke and Sakura’s wedding was never shown in an episode, though they do end up living together, calling each other husband and wife, and they do have a daughter named Sarada (as shown in the Boruto series) – what more proof do we need?
So, Naruto and Hinata, Sasuke and Sakura. Both of our boys tied the knot and gave the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans new members and heirs. Have your ultimate ships sailed?
