One Piece Celebrates 1000th Chapter

Can you believe it? One Piece is about to hit its 1000th Chapter! One Peice author, Eiichiro Oda, claimed in an interview in 2019 that he wished to end the series within 5 years. Since that statement, there has been plenty of speculation as to what that might mean to the overall series.  Based on statements from a TV special that Eiichiro went on a year later, it was established that the series was officially mapped out with a final ending. Eiichiro explained that editors had been informed on how the series will end and this left a lot of fans anxiously awaiting what that would mean for the future of One Piece.

That leaves us to today, where one piece has reached an epic milestone of 1000 serialized chapters. As a celebration for Eiichiro Oda and his creation, Shonen Jump has started the “One Piece 1000 LOGS” project. This project is best described as a national web poll where fans will be able to vote on the homepage. You can find that poll by clicking HERE or simply visiting https://onepiecewt100.com/. This poll is a global event, which is uncommon in the manga industry. It will go live on Jan 3, 2021, at 10 am est, which is the release date for the 1000th One Piece chapter. The poll will be closed on Feb 28, 2021. So be sure to spread the word to any fellow One Piece fans out there. This is your chance to participate in something historic related to the anime and manga world!
